If all goes as planned, we will be sailing away from Costa Rica tomorrow morning. Our plan is to leave early in the morning, taking advantage of the push provided by an ebb tide as we travel south through Gulfo Dulce and then east toward Panama. We will have spent 19 days in Costa Rica with marina and anchorage stops in Papagayo, Tambor, Tortuga Island, Quepos, Drake Bay and Golfito. We also enjoyed our first round of inland travel in order to experience a sampling of Costa Rica's fabulous National Parks, which included Rincon de la Vieja, Monteverde, Manuel Antonio and Corcovado. Corcovado was our most recent visit, which required a two-hour water taxi ride and an impressive beach landing. We spent the night in the park, falling asleep to a rainforest soundtrack that featured howler monkeys as the loudest performers.
Wow! I may have to find a way to get to Costa Rica! Incredible photography. Thank you!
Beautiful, love the monkeys.
I love being on the journey with you. As a fellow very amateur birder, these images are quite enlivening.
I LOVE the woodpecker! Stunning! The walking stick is almost vertical, right of center. What an amazing adventure!
